One of the most wide-spread counting systems might be called a Hi/Lo System. The principle inherently is simple. It divides all the cards into special classes and gives them values from -1 to +1. The division is next:

  • Positive (+1 cards) are cards from 2 to 6.
  • Negative (-1) cards start from 10 to Ace.
  • Neutral (0 cards) are cards valued from 7 to 9.

The system works like this: each card that left the game counted due to given order.

KO counting system has been developed on the base of the previous one. Althoughin this system the 7-value card is counted as a positive one. Many card counters states that KO system is easier due to this difference.

Highly Optimum 1 system also refers to the Hi/Lo. Usage of this system requires more careful card counting due to rules implemented in it. The system is very easy. Neutral cards are 2, Ace and from 7 to 9. Positive: from 3 to 5. Cards left are negative ones.

Hi-Opt 2 System is anenhancedvariant of the first Hi-Opt system. It has been developed for advanced gamblers and card counters. Positive cards are in the interval from 2 to7, where 4 and 5-value cards are ranked as -2 and others are counting as +1. Neutral are 8, 9 and Ace. Others are negative and prescribed a value of -2.
